Kaniwa
Kaniwa
Today I tried out Kaniwa Baby Quinoa. This Quinoa is different because of its small size and dark red color. The texture as well is not as squishy as normal quinoa but actually has a more solid crunchier taste. This was the first time I have ever cooked quinoa and was afraid that it was going to burn and stick to the pan. It ended up being much easier than I imagined. I made this breakfast salad bowl. I combined lettuce and all the veggies I had in my fridge. I put some dressing and topped it with a fried egg.
This is a great source of fiber with its whole grain properties, high in iron and gluten free.Being that you can eat it warm or cold it makes for a perfect alternative to take to lunch. I was also surprised to see that this grain is perfect and good for babies to consume. It must be easy to digest for little tummies.
I received this product for free, but all opinions are my own.
